John McCain and Barack Obama are miles apart. Therefore, I will back McCain to serve the greater good.

I have, for a long time, been critical of both John McCain and Barack Obama. Like many Christian conservatives I have felt like we’ve been “left behind” during the 2008 presidential election cycle. I’ve had this feeling because there is not a presidential candidate who is solid on all the important conservative social and moral issues affecting our nation.

Despite this fact, the greater good must be served. While it may appear to some that voting for John McCain is choosing between the lesser of two evils, I think I have finally been convinced to vote for McCain.

The only other realistic alternative to John McCain is Barack Obama. Some have made the argument that there isn’t any difference between McCain and Obama as they both have some liberal tendencies. That is a foolish argument. The difference between McCain and Obama is enormous. While McCain may be more moderate than I’d like, Obama is a radical far left socialist.

The differences are most obvious when we consider the types of Supreme Court Justices that each of these candidates has publicly acknowledged they will appoint. John McCain has pledged to appoint justices like Roberts & Alito. Barack Obama has praised Ginsburg, Souter, and Stevens. Given the climate of judicial activism, this is incredibly serious business. With the types of Supreme Court Justices that Obama will appoint we can likely expect massive damage to our nation’s heritage.

All progress on the right to life cause could be lost, constitutional protection for homosexual marriage could be ruled on, second amendment rights may be in danger, first amendment rights for Christians and other people of faith may be in danger, and that’s just the start folks!

We cannot afford the damage of lifetime appointments for radical left wing Supreme Court Justices. Barack Obama would inflict this kind of damage. We know that at least one if not multiple appointments to the court will be made. The radical liberals on the Supreme Court are the ones who are getting older. John Paul Stevens is 87, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 75, Stephen Breyer is 69, and David Souter is 68.

If my words are not convincing, let me share with you two recent sources which have influenced me and my decision to support John McCain this November.

-A recent meeting of American Evangelical Christian leaders in Denver came to a consensus to support John McCain.

Barack Obama attacks James Dobson and Christians!

Just in case you haven’t been paying attention…

Barack Obama has attacked Christians and the place of Christianity in America.

Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, recently responded to a speech where Barack Obama lashed out against Dr. Dobson, America’s Christian heritage, and the very notion of absolute values.

After listening to the words by Senator Obama, one can only come to the conclusion that he is using the title of “Christian” to help further his political career. The man is clearly a moral relativist.

Call to Arms: Support Louisiana Senate Bill 733 by calling Governor Jindal and asking for his support!

So I was trying to find out an update on Louisiana Senate Bill 733 which was sent to Governor Bobby Jindal’s desk recently. The bill, if signed into law, allows for freedom of thought and scientific inquiry in the classroom by allowing teachers to explore other theories of origin outside Darwinian Evolution.

I have yet to find out if Governor Jindal has signed it or vetoed it. What I did find was hundreds of websites urging people to call in and discourage the governor from signing it. Apparently this bill has the all the Darwinists worked up. Unfortunately for them this is America and not the Soviet Union. Since we’re not communists yet, freedom to discuss alternative theories of origin should be protected in our schools!

This bill is important because it does begin to set some precedent for other states to follow. The naysayers argue it is bringing religion into the classroom and violates the establishment of religion clause in our constitution. This is of course nonsense because the bill does not endorse one theory of origin over another and actually has the effect of breaking down the monopoly (and state establishment) of Darwinism.

So, I’m calling on all like minded freedom loving individuals to call Governor Jindal and ask for his support of this bill. Ask that he will sign this into law! You can call him at 225-342-7015 or 866-366-1121 (Toll Free); fax him at 225-342-7099.

Louisiana is on the verge of becoming the first state to enact academic freedom legislation that will protect a teacher’s right to present scientific evidence both for and against modern evolutionary theory. The Louisiana Science Education Act (LSEA) is sitting on Governor Jindal’s desk waiting for his signature. But, he needs to know you support it.

Dogmatic Darwinists are working overtime to bully the Governor into vetoing the act, going so far as to enlist activists from other countries to urge American’s to tell Governor Jindal to oppose the act.

We need the help of everyone in Louisiana, and everyone in America, who supports academic freedom to encourage Governor Jindal to sign the LSEA into law.

The LSEA is a home-grown measure. Drafted by Democratic state senator Ben Nevers, the bill was inspired by the Ouachita Parish School District Policy which was established almost two years ago. The LSEA echoes some of what Discovery Institute has called for in its sample academic freedom legislation, but the bill has been advanced by Louisiana citizens and has won overwhelming support from Louisiana legislators.

Darwinists are calling for help from around the world. A letter attacking the LSEA is being showcased and e-mailed all over the world by Richarddawkins.net. As usual the letter is full of falsehoods.

This bill is not about creationism or religion. That’s a red herring from desperate Darwinists. The bill is about allowing teachers to present scientific evidence that supports Darwin’s theory, as well as some that challenges it.

Barack Obama supports liberal judges

I applaud Senator Obama for condemning a terrible decision by the Supreme Court which makes it illegal for states to punish child rapists with the death penalty. Senator Obama has sided with the four conservative judges on the court who voted against this decision. I’m talking of course about Roberts, Alito, Scalia, and Thomas. The problem is that Barack Obama will not appoint these kind of judges if he becomes president!

Obama has praised current liberal Justices Breyer, Ginsburg, and Souter. These are the same people who voted against the death penalty for some of the lowest life forms on the planet, child rapists!

Obama has said he is concerned with a conservative court that supports the “powerful against the powerless.” These are odd words considering it is the conservative justices that sided with victims of child rape, and who have also shown the ability to side with unborn babies, which is perhaps the best example of those who are “powerless.”

So which way is it going to be Senator Obama? Are you with the powerless or are you against them? Will you support conservative judges who avoid this kind of activism, or will you support the liberals whom you have praised?

I’m inclined to believe that this condemnation by Obama on the ruling keeping child rapists from the death penalty is just politics as usual. If this is not an example of Obama talking out both sides of his mouth, it shows a lack of judgment necessary to be the next commander in chief and an inability to appoint decent judges!

Obama attacks Christianity and it’s place in America!

As if Barack Obama’s problems with racism, anti-Americanism, and his radical socialist policies weren’t enough to scare off voters, now he’s attacking Christians and the place of Christianity in American government.

JERUSALEM – Some have been taking issue with largely unnoticed comments made last year by Sen. Barack Obama declaring the U.S. is “no longer a Christian nation” but is also a nation of others, including Muslims and nonbelievers.

The comments have been recently recirculating on Internet blogs.

“Whatever we once were, we’re no longer a Christian nation. At least not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, and a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers,” Obama said during a June 2007 speech available on YouTube.

At the speech, Obama also seemingly blasted the “Christian Right” for hijacking religion and using it to divide the nation:

“Somehow, somewhere along the way, faith stopped being used to bring us together and started being used to drive us apart. It got hijacked. Part of it’s because of the so-called leaders of the Christian Right, who’ve been all too eager to exploit what divides us,” he said.

Asked last year to clarify his remarks, Obama repeated them to the Christian Broadcast Network:

“I think that the right might worry a bit more about the dangers of sectarianism. Whatever we once were, we’re no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers,” Obama wrote in an e-mail to CBN News senior national correspondent David Brody.

“We should acknowledge this and realize that when we’re formulating policies from the state house to the Senate floor to the White House, we’ve got to work to translate our reasoning into values that are accessible to every one of our citizens, not just members of our own faith community,” wrote Obama.

Obama claims we are not just a Christian nation but also a Muslim nation, a Hindu nation, and a non-believing nation. This shows a disturbing lack of judgement and knowledge on the part of Barack Obama. It’s true that the population of our country is made up of all sorts of people with different religious beliefs. Our nation itself, however, was founded on Christian principles and that foundation must remain in place.

Barack Obama clearly identifies that he is not just talking about the population of America and the various beliefs that exist. He is talking about the American government itself as he identifies that laws should be made based on all of these various beliefs. This is multi-cultural madness and an attempt to destroy the very foundation of our republic!

I believe American Democracy demands a Creator. I also know the evidence for our Christian heritage is everywhere you look! Whether it’s found on our monuments, our currency, in our pledge of allegiance, or the recorded words of our founders and other historical documents it’s very obvious to all.

In God we trust. The inscription on our money does not read, “in a god we trust.” One nation under God. Our pledge of allegiance does not say, “one nation under the gods.” So who is this God? He is the God of the Bible.

This fact must be taken into account by our leaders in Washington! Senator Barack Obama would instead give the tenants of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, Atheism, and other world religions equal considerations when governing our nation. That should bother everyone who loves America and is well versed in the history and traditions of this blessed nation.

The Audacity of Division: Obama plays the race card!

Barack Obama has built his whole campaign around the idea of hope and change. Unfortunately he continues to surround himself with racists. His spiritual mentor, his friends and associates, and many of his supporters have all been in the news for race baiting, or outright racist comments!

Senator Obama himself has referred to his own grandmother as a “typical white woman” who was scared of black men. This is the politics of fear, racism, and an era of the past. So why is it that Barack Obama continues to allow it to take center stage in his campaign? Now he’s again bringing attention to it by claiming he will be the victim of racism by Republicans! This is more of the audacity of division! How dare he accuse Republicans of being racist!? He’s the one who keeps bringing race up!

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him.

“It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy,” Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. “We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid.

“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”

He said he was also set for Republicans to say “he’s got a feisty wife,” in trying to attack his wife Michelle.

“We know the strategy because they’ve already shown their cards. Ultimately I think the American people recognize that old stuff hasn’t moved us forward. That old stuff just divides us,” he said.

This is not the politics of change and hope. This is the same political game played by folks like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and other racist African Americans. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: One of the reasons I can’t vote for Barack Obama is because I am against racism!
