Who is Andy Barnett and what is the Culture War Blog?

Hi, my name is Andy. I’m a radio talk show host, a blogger, and a concerned American citizen.

Why am I concerned? Well, I figured out a long time ago that we’re in a full blown culture war in America. This is a war between people with traditional Judeo-Christian values and those who believe in moral relativism. The problem with moral relativism (thinking that what’s right or wrong for you is not necessarily right or wrong for me) is that it inevitably leads to anarchy or tyranny.

Essentially, Americans who believe in God and fixed moral standards are under attack in America. There is a concerted effort to change America and her traditions. It’s in our schools, it’s in the news media, it’s in the courts, it’s in politics, and it’s in our pop culture.

What motivates these attacks? Is it power, greed, sex, and rebellion? Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I believe the root of all these attacks can be found in a selfish desire to stamp out the liberties of those with traditional values and beliefs.

You see America was founded on a belief in a Creator and fixed moral standards, and this group of secular progressives is out to change that through whatever means necessary. It’s a subversive attack on our nation and it’s heritage.

Coincidentally it is the side effects of the culture war (moral depravity and irresponsible behavior) that is one of the major driving forces behind our recent conflicts with radical Islamic Jihadists.

I believe strongly in fighting this culture war and the best way to do that is to provide information to Americans with traditional values so that we can make a difference. Whether it’s preparing your kids for the influences they’ll have to face in the public schools, making wise consumer choices, voting for politicians of integrity, becoming active in your community, or changing your media consumption habits - you can stand up and fight in this culture war with your daily decisions!

That’s the purpose of this blog, to inform, expose, and point to the truth.
