Hollywood Liberals Attack!
May 26th, 2008 | by admin |Sharon Stone (a Hollywood liberal) blames China’s treatment of the people of Tibet for the earthquake that took thousands of lives recently. She says it’s karma.
How is this any different than the televangelists who say that God may be punishing people when other natural disasters occur? Didn’t the recently maligned Reverend Hagee get blasted for saying the same sort of thing about Hurricane Katrina? Is anyone upset over Stone’s comments? Where is the outrage over this sort of language? I hope it’s just as vocal as the outrage over similar comments made by “evil” Christians!
In case your wondering this isn’t the first time Stone has uttered something stupid. Back in February she ripped America and our troops while traveling in the middle east.

Sharon Stone has apologized for her comments on the earthquake in China. No word on whether she’ll be apologizing to our troops any time soon. I doubt it!

Apparently, there’s plenty of outrage. A major Chinese theater owner has banned Sharon Stone films. Fox News is calling her comments “off the wall.” And she never even actually said that it was karma; she just wondered if it was. Apparently, since that time, she has actually decided that it wasn’t karma. So, I think we can drop the outrage for now.

Shouldn’t we be more concerned about Hagee though, who claims to know God’s purposes in punishing New Orleans with Katrina?
Sharon Stone was not claiming to represent any major Indian religious views such as Buddhism or Hinduism when she made her comments. Hagee, on the other hand, is a representative of some lines of Christian thought.
Not that what Stone said was smart…
