The Audacity of Division: The Many Faces of Barack Obama.
April 29th, 2008 | by Andy Barnett |
The problem that Barack Obama faces is the fact that he can’t live up to what he and his followers claimed he was: a candidate who represents everyone.
When it comes down to it, Barack Obama has made the same mistake so many politicians have made, he’s tried to be everything to everyone. He can’t represent hope and fight against division while at the same time being a 20-year member of a church that preaches radical messages of racism, and outright anti-Americanism. He can’t represent the socialist progressive left without alienating blue collar Americans who “cling to religion and guns.”
I think what we’re discovering from Barack Obama is a young man who is in over his head. He’s tried to be everything to everyone and in that process he has become nothing to no one. Barack Obama speaks a good game, there’s no doubt about it, his oratory skills are magnificent but they ring hollow. Who is Barack Obama? What does he really believe? We know he has close friendships with extremists like the racist Rev. Wright, the terrorist Bill Ayers, and the crook Tony Rezko. Obama claims to represent the oppressed but he mocks them when meeting with progressive elitists in San Francisco. He’s the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate, but his followers claim he’s a uniter not a divider.
I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of hearing about the many faces of Barack Obama. The more I discover about him, the more I realize there is nothing different about him unless it’s the fact that he has done a magnificent job in deceiving the American public into believing that he’s different. That illusion has come crashing down and all we see left standing is the audacity of division.
