Step Right Up, Take Your Pick! Do You Want a Liar or an Anti-American Racist Sympathizer for President?

March 26th, 2008 | by admin |

Which would you rather have for the next President of the United States: A liar or an anti-American racist sympathizer? I choose… None of the above!

The last couple of days have been incredibly amusing for conservatives like myself to watch. Hillary Clinton has joined with the rest of the media by chiming in on Barack Obama and his 20 year long spiritual mentor (who is a blatant anti-American racist) by saying that Reverend Wright wouldn’t be her pastor. Meanwhile, Clinton is under fire for concocting a complete lie over her trip to Bosnia in the mid 90’s!

If this was radio play-by-play it might sound something like this: Clinton attacks Obama, the main-stream media attacks Clinton, Obama defends Reverend Wright and inadvertently exposes his own racial stereotypes.

If you missed it, Barack Obama referred to his own grandmother as a “typical white woman” whatever the heck that is supposed to mean. I know a lot of people. I know a lot of white people and I don’t know if I can say what a “typical white person” is. I know white people from poor families and I know white people from rich families. I know white people who are Christians, white people who are Jewish, and white people who are Atheists. I’ve talked to white conservatives, liberals, libertarians, and green party members. You get the point. So, again, I’m not sure what a “typical white person” really is. I bet I’d be in a lot of hot water though if I started making statements about “typical black people” though. I wouldn’t do that however, because I’m not a racist!

Meanwhile John McCain has been visiting our troops abroad, meeting with foreign leaders, making policy statements, and looking like the next president. It’s looking pretty good for John McCain. It’s too bad he’s such a RINO on some issues. *COUGH* The Man-Made Climate Change Lie *COUGH*

Republicans have what looks like a golden opportunity to snag the presidency while the Democrats seem hellbent on self destruction. The only problem will be getting the real conservatives (like me) fired up about voting. I still know a lot of us who are kind of in a funk over the whole election and the poor cast of candidates and it sort of breeds apathy. I wish it weren’t so, but I’ve got to be honest with you.

*Barack Obama Update: Apparently the tax records of Senator Obama reveal that he hasn’t exactly been the most charitable person in the world. Giving an average of just 3% of his income to charity over the last seven years. Hey it’s your life, give what you want, but going on a crusade to increase social programs using taxpayer money to pay for charitable causes seems kind of hypocritical when you don’t even do it yourself.

By the way it turns out Senator Obama gave a check to for $27,500 to his church. Maybe it’s just me, but if I was writing a $27,500 check to my church I’d probably want to know what they’re preaching. I’m sure Barack Obama had no idea though. It would be dastardly of me to suggest otherwise, right?

Just a quick question. Do you know if there’s anything in the Republican party platform about global warming?

Good Question! Here’s what I found from the platform last adopted in 2004 at the Republican National Convention:

    ***

    Global Climate Change

Republicans are committed to meeting the challenge of long-term global climate
change by relying on markets and new technologies to improve energy efficiency. These
efforts will help reduce emissions over time while allowing the economy to grow. Our
President and our Party strongly oppose the Kyoto Protocol and similar mandatory
carbon emissions controls that harm economic growth and destroy American jobs.

    ***

So there you have it, yes they acknowledge climate change but clearly there has been no desire to have government regulate carbon emissions which is what John McCain and all the Democrats are suggesting.

Sadly, I imagine that climate change will become more a part of the platform this year at the convention due to the fact that more and more people seem to be drinking the kool-aid.

I’ve outlined previously why I think radical environmentalism is the source of the climate change debate and what they are also linked to which is very anti-traditional values, so I won’t go into that again.

Thanks for researching that for me.
