We Must Condemn The Far Left and the Attacks on Our Troops!

February 29th, 2008 | by admin |

The far left wing loves to say that our military is comprised of poorly educated, low income, kids who don’t know any better. Just ask John Kerry! We know that none of this is truth. We know that our military is made up of the brightest, finest, and most efficient fighting forces in the world. They’re the bravest of the brave.

There are countless stories about the average soldier and their commitment that display the honor of our men and women who serve. I just happened to find this one today.

In fact we all have personal stories of friends or family who have served or are serving. I have a good friend from college who is going over to Iraq for another tour of duty, despite the fact that his second child is soon to be born and his family is just getting started. Will we ever be able to truly understand their sacrifice? I’m not sure we will.

The least we can do to help support our men and women is to condemn the attacks on them by far left wing bomb throwers. Whether you agree with the strategic details of the war on terror or not, we can all come together and support the individuals who fight for our freedom on a daily basis.

I know there are those who believe that Iraq was not the best theater for the War on Terror. To them I say the following: You’re voice has been heard but please stop belittling our men and women currently engaged in combat. The men and women of our armed forces go to work daily to protect the freedom you enjoy, how dare you attack them!

May God bless our troops and bring them home safely when their mission is complete!

To say tht the military is comprised of poorly educated, low income kids is not just liberal propaganda. I was in the Navy. I can safely say that the majority of the enlisted personnel with whom I served very much fell into that category. An anecdote about a new millionaire who is returning to Iraq doesn’t necessarily represent the average soldier.

I appreciate the willingness of young people who continue to sign on to defend our nation, even though that nation’s policies may be misguided. I don’t agree with the tactics being used by some opposed to the war, but I fully support their right to express their opposition. As is often stated, that right is what our soldiers are supposed to be fighting for.
