Tarryl Clark accuses Governor Pawlenty and Republicans of not caring about school children on buses.

August 24th, 2007 | by admin |

“Our kids will be getting on school buses soon, now is the time to keep them safe.” - State Senator Tarryl Clark from St. Cloud encouraging the Governor to hold a special session immediately.

So, let me get this straight. If Tarryl Clark and the state government do not meet in a special session, kids on buses will be in danger? Look, I know some people having jokingly accused Tarryl Clark of being able to do some witchcraft, but I had no idea she had this kind of power! So if a bus gets in an accident, after Tarryl and the DFL pass a gas tax increase, can we sue them?

You’d think after weeks of calling politicians out for playing political games with a tragedy, that they would be done with this. Apparently that’s not so with Senator Clark who waited until now to say something that reveals her true nature. She’s a far left liberal Democrat who has strategically come up with a contrived statement playing on the fears of the public by using the imagery of the poor little school children who narrowly escaped the bridge collapse. How dare she insinuate, even subtlely, that Republicans and the Governor don’t care about school children. Hey Tarryl, how come you don’t care more about the 14,000 unborn babies that were brutally murdered in our state last year?

I think this statement by Senator Clark is simply appalling and outrageous. When you’re serving in public office, you serve at the pleasure of the people. These are the kind of statements that get you in trouble with the people. It allows people to see you for what you really are. Maybe Senator Clark is feeling a little too comfortable knowing that she’ll be in power for another three years. Take note central Minnesotans, and don’t forget.

If you’re not aware, this is not the first controversial thing that Senator Clark has done. She was previously on the talk show I host and couldn’t answer basic questions about embryonic stem cell research funding legislation. She admitted she didn’t know all the details, but voted to destroy life anyways. She was also caught double talking about initiative and referendum, at one point saying how it was useful in Arizona where she previously lived and then in another breath saying that the people elected her to make those decisions for them. She has constantly voted in favor of radical laws such as legalizing marijuana and providing student financial aid for illegal immigrants. She’s the only pro-choice legislator representing St. Cloud and the surrounding area.

If all this wasn’t bad enough, she chooses not to interact with the public. She’s second in command in the Senate and she is afraid to address her constituents. She has made it a habit to avoid local media, including the program I host, by saying that she doesn’t participate in “entertainment” radio. This is the stance of those that support the fairness doctrine and would silence any critics in order to better maintain power. Maybe she’s against entertainment because the kind of actions she takes as a legislator are not only less than entertaining, they’re just plain frightening.

    What’s radical about legalizing marijuana?

Marijuana is a substance that has been proven to be addictive and mind altering. There is no consensus on any beneficial use of marijuana and only the fringe believe that it would be right or good to legalize it.

If you ask most law enforcement officials, most medical professionals, and victims of drug induced crime you will find that there is strong opposition to any attempt to legalize this harmful drug.

Alcohol is a substance that has been proven to be addictive and mind-altering. There is overwhelming evidence that it has a deleterious effect on personal health as well as on the social fabric. Surely only a fringe lunatic would believe that it is right or good to have legalized access to alcohol.

Any law enforcement official, medical professonal, or drunk-driving victim would surely agree that alcohol should be illegal, right?
