Tolerating Christians: Not Okay. Tolerating Muslims: Yes of course!
June 25th, 2007 | by admin |Are you ready for another example of Christians being discriminated against while followers of Islam are allowed to as they please? It happens all the time, this time courtesy of the Brits…

A teenage girl who was banned by her school from wearing a “purity ring” is taking her case to the High Court.
Lydia Playfoot, 16, is a member of a Christian group called the Silver Ring Thing and one of a number of students at the Millais School in Horsham, West Sussex, who wears a silver ring engraved with a Biblical reference — “1 Thes 434,” a reference to St. Paul’s Letter to the Thessalonians — as a sign of their belief in abstinence from sex until marriage.
She claims that her secondary school is breaching her human rights by preventing her from wearing the ring, while allowing Muslim and Sikh students to wear head scarfs and religious bangles.

So what’s the deal? Why is the “tolerance crowd” only tolerant of that which it deems worthy of tolerance?
(Mind you Christianity is never worth tolerating to this crowd!)
Such obvious hypocrisy reeks! Yet, it continues every day and if you ask me only further proves that Christianity might be worth taking a look at for those of you looking for answers.
Didn’t Jesus say, “In this world you will have trouble?”
Every time I read a story about Christians being discriminated against or worse it makes me scratch my head and ask the question why are Christians the ones being blasted while for the most part other religions get off the hook? What do you think?

She’s not being discriminated against. She’s broken school uniform rules and is getting a little hysterical over it. It’s worth noting that her parents run the Silver Ring Thing in the UK, and it seems to me that they’re exploiting their daughter for the sake of some free publicity.
